The day has finally arrived!! Wahoo!! Cohen had tubes surgically placed in his ears this morning. The procedure went very well, though his wake up was not quite as perfect as Carter’s. I went back to recovery to meet my hysterical 11 month old. A nurse called the L&D unit to see if they could bring up a pacifier for him in hopes it would calm him down. And wouldn’t you know, it totally did.
He went to daycare after the procedure, and aside from being sleepy, he had a great day. John and I (and Cohen’s doctor) are hopeful this procedure will give him a break from the constant ear infections and help his language development. We are so happy this is done and over with! Here is to infection free ears!
