Before leaving Newport, we made our highly anticipated stop at the Oregon Costal Aquarium. We arrived super early, in hopes of beating the middle school field trip crowd (which we did, thank god!) It did not disappoint. We had a great time!
Both boys loved touching the sea life…and Carter was infatuated with the “under the sea” tunnel. If it were up to him, we would have stayed in the tunnel the entire day! The giant, and I mean, GIANT crabs, were also a big hit. But, of all, the bronze animal statues won by far. Cohen enjoyed a little bit of freedom walking around and climbing on the animal. Carter was so overwhelmed, he kept running from one statue to another.
After spending the morning at the Aquarium, we hit the road and headed to Crescent City, CA. The boys were fantastic in the long car ride. We rolled into Crescent City at about 6pm. We took a quick walk on the beach before eating dinner and calling it a night. Our road trip is almost over, as we are projected to reach San Francisco tomorrow night!
