Cohen had a fantastic day! Not only did he nipple all of his night feeds, but he took almost all of the feeds each time! His nurse did not use the NG tube at all last night and he still gained weight. Not too much as it was only 10 grams, but the gain is still a sign that he is getting enough to eat. We worked on breastfeeding today, but since he’s pretty much a pro (albeit a slow pro) at it there wasn’t much to work on. No A&B’s and no de-sating and full feeds all day = PROGRESS! Hopefully he will continue to progress with nippling and get that NG tube out earlier than Tuesday! Cohen is doing so well and I think his NICU days are numbered!
